But some of my friends are receiving the mails from AI as seperate mails for seperate topic. I would like to switch over to that method of receiving mails.
Could anybody of you guide me what I have to do in order to receive that type of mails.
Please throw light in this regard. I request our moderator to guide me in this issue. Thanks in advance. regards Jayachandran. Actually, in my school, there are several alternatestaff rooms have also been running in sports room, yoga room, examinationroom, three science labs and library except common staff room since long time.Further, for your kind information, having our strong protest, the common staff room was shifted in third building in August 12 of 2008 from secondbuilding. The distance between second and third buildings is very much and way between both buildings is not accessible due to having several mud, gutters incomplete road. non of us (VH PERSONS) can move alone between both buildings. My most classes were in second building and six continuous periods of six sections of classes 11 and 12 of 606 students, so, I had to suffer more than other VH colleagues. Therefore, after shifting common staff room in third building, Finally, my written procedure had begun against school authority at higher level with demand of reshifting the common staff room in second building after failure of our personal talk with them since last of August of 2008. My all classes will be arranged in second building. 2. The common staff room will be reshifted soon in previous building, until a separate staff room for VH employees will be arranged in second building. 3. Guest teachers of Political Science will be appointed soon for minimizing overload of six sections of classes 11 and 12 on me. After all, in July, all classes of all VH teachers have been shifted in second building after getting ready by both Junior colleagues that they will have no objection to take only two sections of class 10 and three sections of class 9.However, an enquiry has been set up on July 3 at departmental level underIEDC (integrated education for disabled children) on bases of my above mentioned letter dated 13-04-2009 specially for considering making some other arrangements. I have submitted my reply to that enquiry committee on August 02 with some objections mainly that this matter related to working VH employees can not be tackled under IEDC. But again, why do we tend to attach value connotations to diversity. And seeking inclusion on whose terms? I appretiate the utility of exchange and dialogue, but is it wise to give up our sense of ourselves in all this? My point is only this: efforts to carve out separate spheres for particular groups may not be discouraged. About the issue of being denied admission to other educational institutions: Well the law is there to take care of such a scenario. I'm not advocating a strict compartmentalization of society. If people deny admission only on grounds of disability, we will always have the recourse to law. Chears, Moiz. -- Moiz Tundawala 5th Year, B.A./B.Sc. Because they can implement various accessibility research programs for disabled. I think it is impossible to do for a normal university. As we know, all such efforts vanished into thin air at the environment of normal universities. Just use your common sense, how many universities are located around this world? A university which especially caters to persons with disabilities offers a unique opportunity to get us all on a common platform. Using the rights language may not be desirable all the time, but the one big problem plaguing the disability movement over the years has been the absence of unity. We haven?t really been able to present a strong joint front and make political/economic assertions against the state and persons in positions of power and authority. I was reading somewhere about the civil rights movement in the United States. People may have had issues with segregation, but then this helped the blacks to come together and collectively make demands against the establishment. Is an inclusive society as great a virtue as presented to be? I sometimes wonder. Whom do we wish to be integrated with. Who defines what the mainstream is? Are the disabled an inferior lot in themselves? Arent our identities worth preserving? If religious and linguistic minorities can have a right to establish and administer educational institutions to preserve their language and culture, shouldn?t we be similarly be encouraging such institutions catering to the particular needs of the disabled? Oh and just for everyone?s information, the news piece also says that only 50% of the seats will be reserved for persons with disabilities. So the University is not going to be as exclusive a domain for PWDs as you think it is. These are just stray thoughts. You are free to disagree. I hope I make some sense. Mostly, in college, a lecturer / professor takes hardly two or three periods in a day and strength of students is not more than 30 per class. If road connectivity between two or three buildings are good and under reach of VH employees nothing is possible. But, in my present school, Principal office is in first building in where, every must has to present personally at the time of arrival and departure.
