Of course, I will be thankful if information is provided regarding Auto run NVDA in pen drive. It seems that the programmers of NVDA want to train blinds for using mouse with the help of sounds, provided in NVDA to guide about the location of pointer.

Vetri! first I extracted NVDA in a pen drive and then I put all the extracted files in data CD, with autorun.inf file.

Same thing i.e., starting NVDA automatically from pen drive can be achieved via creating a file "autorun.inf" and placing it into the main folder. That's what I had heard from Ruchir few months back. He also told me the contents of the file, but I don't remember anything except that it had something to do with shell or something... If anyone is in need, i can search or probably ask ruchir. But I guess he is busy with his cat preparations.

I found NVDA very good. The only feature in NVDA which is most wanted according to me is how we use jaws curser in jaws. If that is done, then I guess NVDA will be the best in future. Because that will solve many problems.
This is something called vurtual screen or something like that.

Amar Jain.

I see. Do we need to burn the cd as an image? Say for example as one burns a windows cd. Or do we simply extract those files to the cd and burn it like a regular cd?

You are correct. More over, if you burn an auto run CD of portable NVDA, it
starts to work after simply inserting the CD. While running through pen
drive, you have to go to its EXE file without speech support.

Hello,

Can someone discuss the differences of Jaws and NVDA portable versions? I
understand, portable jaws actually requires some kind of installation. But
we can just plug in the pen drive and run NVDA. Please discuss.

Best regards,
Amiyo Biswas.
