Dear Friends, I had purchased a cassette some 4to5 years ago, which claimed to be Swamiji's own voice recording of his Chicago Speech in Thiruvananthapuram in a book exhibition. Later, in the RK Mission here, I learnt that they know nothing about such a recording.Probably, I feel this voice maybe from the film on Swami Bivekananda made in between 1999 to 2002, which won the national award and was shown on DD. As for as I learn, there was indeed a voice recording of Swamijiwhen he visited Mysore before leaving to Chicago during the rule of Chamaraja Wadeyar, who hosted Swamiji. Unfortunately for posterity, this invaluable recording got destroyed when the then wodden palace at mysore was gutted in fire. The present palace was built only in 1916. As regards Subramanian, in particular, I appeal to him not to be disappointed, as hearing the very name of Swamiji is comforting and instil inspiration in ones heart. With regards Niranjan
