I might be mistaken but I remember noticing 64GB and 128GB solid state drives available for a while now. There is even a Dell Latitude E4200 laptop selling with a 64GB solid state drive. They can be very pricy though.

Solid spaced ones do not have a spinning internal hard drive, rather they have a stand alone drive in which windows and other programs can be installed. To put it in common language, it's like installing windows on a flash disk. The disadvantage is that solid space can be only up to 20 GP and henceforth you cannot put too much in it. The positive thing is that computers are usually heavy due to the hard drives and battery and solid space reduces the weight significantly.
