No Kaustubh, there have been several other leaders too but most from the Communist parties to have taken such a noble initiative. In fact, I have been instrumental in promoting the organ donation and body donation for medical research. In August 2009, our group successfully donated the dead body of one Mr. Rajguru who died of old age. Religious ceremonies etc are often barriers to it because many Hindus believe that its only after the funeral pyre that the soul get salvation! We give example of Rishi Dadhichi who donated his body for the sake of humanity to make Vajra to kill a demon!
