The most important thing is how passionate is she about fashion designing
and embroidery.
This is totally visually rich and this can be both limiting and liberating.
It all depends on which of the 2 ones consider it to be important.
Technology persay would be of little assistance except for colour
recognition. It more goes how you manage the difficulties. One should
organise the coloured items like threads in a wayyou know which colour it is
without really seeing it.
Designs and patterns are something you can imagine and it is what you would
be commiting to the material.
It would be difficult to learn these after loosing sight, however, once
having learnt the art it can be done with some difficulty factored in.
Another strategy is to apply the basic skills to another form which is
more manageable.
I will not be able to suggest precisely as I know little about it.
If you can master the seeing with sound, this can be a good technology which
can be of assistance.
Govind, there are 2 things you need to know. Firstly gauge her passion
levels and make her believe she can make it. Only she should be look at it
differently.

Are there any visually impaired who is in to fashion designing and
embroidery (Dress material designing)? One of my friends has lost her
site when she was around 20. When she was able to see, she learned
fashion designing course, & even now works in same field with the very
little sight she has. She can partially identify the colours. Now she
wants to know if any technology exists for computerized course in
fashion designing & dress material designing.
My doubt is that what r the tools and programs commonly used for
fashion designing and dress material designing. I need all the info if
you have with you, even a little info is enough.
