I extracted this info from a blog.
One of my friends, after reading the mail, informed that he had complained
about his lost cellphone on the mail id and his mail was not only
acknowledged but also he got back his phone within 3 weeks. But this all
happened in 2006... when this service was introduced. I can't say whether
the COP is sstill working with the same efficiency.

Could you please point us to the source of this information. One of my
friends did send all the information to the given ID as suggested in
various mails hovering around the net, but despite adequate follow up, he
did not receive any reply from this e-mail address, even his mail has not
been acknowledged yet. I did invest much of my time searching for the
source, but didn't find anything beyond mailing lists and discussion
groups.
