Typically in an organisation there are various departments like
sales,purchase ,production ,planning ,finance ,quality and hr etc.These
departments work like silos in a compartmentalised manner .
In order to integrate all these departments for optimal use of resources and
also get a real time information of various processes and functions ERP
software like SAP and People Soft are used.The term E R P means Enterprise
Resource Planning and the most popular E R P software
is SAP of Germany.
