Why can't we use the paste special option in the edit menu of the MSword?

Hi!
When you copy any material from any website with links, then you can
paste that material in notepad and then if you want to copy it in word
document, then cut that material from notepad and paste in word
document.

With regards,

ctrl+shift+f9.

Dear members, many times we download some material from the web, and
sometimes this material has links practically for every word. It becomes
irritating when JAWS reads "Link" in a high peach for every word.
Therefore, is there any method by which we can remove all the links from
a document? If yes, how? please guide.
Thanking you, Yours,
