I think if you enter your special ATM card in that machine, it will tell you:
"Please ask your wife to go out, as the ATM transaction should not be seen by
anybody to avoid misuse, you can operate it fully with voice prompts....... and
so on"..
Let us convince deciding authorities in banks that talking features can be
suitably integrated in general machines, or specialized designed talking
machines need not be confined to VI, and can contain all features along with
accessibility features, and so-called VCR card should be usable across all ATM
machines, activating speech wherever it is available.

Hi all,
I have my salary account with SBI with all the facilities such as ATM,
net banking, cheque books, etc. Let me share my experience using normal
ATM card in talking ATM machine.
Some days back, coincidentally, the machine which I used for cash
withdrawal was the talking machine. My wife and I entered in the cabin,
inserted the card. My wife gave the desired input till the 'entering pin
number' option is not arrived. As soon as the 'pin number' option is
displayed on the screen, suddenly, the machine started talking to us:
"welcome to SBI, please enter your secret pin number". Wow! I became
delighted! But what is this! After entering the desired number, The
machine stopped talking to us! Oh no! Finally, we entered the desired
amount for cash withdrawal. And here once again the machine told us (in
voice) to wait till our transaction is being processed. The card came
out (automatically) from the machine and finally, the good computerised
voice thanked us for using SBI...
I wonder what will happen if I use special ATM card in that machine!

Two things come into my mind.
1 Can an able bodied use that machine or is it for exclusive use of the
blind or rather it could be operated with those special cards. If the
able bodied would not be able to use it then it would be another
irritant. There would be nobody attending to it if there is a problem
with it. It would also mean that it would be a horrible business case
and would go against us in the long run.
2 If the operation is permitted with those special VRC cards, it would
also mean blind persons of other banks would also not be able to use
despite it would be their neighbourhoodd branch.
Anyone clarrifying this as well.
