Well,
As i’ve already said in my previous e-mail, i did not want to take
this on a debate for VI-VI marriage, since that’s out of the context
for this story.
My point was, that whatever you decide for, please, don’t take this
story a base behind any of your decisions .
I agree to some of the folks that we are vulnerable to this kinds of
things, but the question is, who in the world is not vulnerable to
death or any of these kinds of unpleasant
incidents?
Kids are more vulnerable then elders, old men are more vulnerable
then kids, rich men are more vulnerable then poor, girls are more
vulnerable then guys, etc etc.
Unfortunately, we all are living with fear of attacks, robberies,
blasts, an so on.
I agree to all of you folks, and have no problem with what you all
have said, I just wanna make the only appeal, please, please don’t
let your decisions shake just due to this silly reason.
If we blind people ourselves will have this terror with us, its gonna
be absolutely horrendous.
my apologies in advance if I sounded inappropriate.

Subject: Re: [AI] Blind couple found murdered, tenant missing
My deep condolence to the passed souls.
Just I had a talk with the son in law of victims (Santosh); he is in
hospital because Anjali (one of the daughters of victims) is admitted
in hospital in unconscious condition due to shock and still no
improvement.
According to Santosh, both the culprits have been arrested and
accepted their involvement. However, the family of victims is afraid
of getting justice since both of criminals are from affluent families.
I wish that nothing less than death penalty will be awarded to the devils.
And I agree with the statement regarding our vulnerability. Of course
we are vulnerable and only pragmatic remedy seems is the caution.

I don't want to inflame the debate about VI vi marriage.
However, Visual impairment is not the guarantee of mutual understanding.
Besides, we cannot ignore genetic, problems and greater chance of their
occurrence. Here also, all three daughters are VI.
Further, taking into account inaccessibility of infrastructure and
services
in general for an average VI, the prospect horrifies me, though two of my
elder sisters are leading a satisfactory life in VI VI matches.
Anyway, to reduce genetic possibilities of disability, in our family we
have
been successfully trying a Unani medicine, about which I have written
several times in AI.
If any VVI couple or couple with VI partner would like to use them during
pregnancy, please get in touch with me.
Hitherto, It has proved to be effective.

Subject: Re: [AI] Blind couple found murdered, tenant missing
Hmm,
Personally I'm not much acquainted with blind couples, or even much of
blind people in general, but what I'd like to say is that blindness
doesn't look like a reason for all of this bad incident to me.
being a delhiIght, I keep coming across to a lot of such news in delhi
itself where landlords are being murdered/exploited/annoyed by
tenants.
Further, horde of wrongful acts are done by home servants too.
So, incidents like these are pretty general around us unfortunately
and therefore, this should not be seen a blindness specific one.
As I said, I don't know of blind couple, but I'm agreed to what said
by Prateek, that whatever you decide, your decision should not be
based merely on this stupid awful reason.
In fact, I wonder, a match of V I with a V I in terms of life partner
should be wonderful!
Who else may be a better companion if he knows all of your problems
and their solutions too!
At least, they know all the common difficulties of each others so, one
won't need to feel impaired while expressing the regular stuff.
Looks like they can set a nice chemistry.
I'm highly amazed to read about this family. A couple, 3 daughters,
all blind, but well settled! Guys,
Wonder, isn't it?
Salute the couple!
May your souls rest in piece.
Aisha sahani.

Do not lose faith. You should take encouragement from this couple. Both
were
VH & had 3 VH daughters, all married. I think old age was major reason
for
crime was committed without fear. And how many more instance of similar

Out of my personal observation More than blindness the old age was the
...
But blindness can not be ignored.
And I am a little discouraged for VC marrying VC however before the
accident
I was of the view that VC with VC would make the best match.
I'll take time to get to normal state of mind so please ignore if you
don't
agree to my view point.

Hope this doesn't discourage VC men from marrying VC women. Even we
sometimes misunderstand safety with eyesight. I am sure the couple's
sight
or blindness had anything to do with the brutal act of tretchery.

Blind couple found murdered, tenant missing
SR | New Delhi
A blind couple was strangled to death in their double-storey residence
in Vivek Vihar area of East district on Tuesday.
Cash and jewellery worth of lakhs of rupees are missing from the spot.
The prime suspect, tenant of the deceased, is absconding. Police said
the tenant was not verified.
A senior police official said, "We received a call from neighbours on
Tuesday morning. The deceased have been identified as Rajendra Verma
(52) and Shobha Verma (50). Rajendra Verma had opted for a voluntary
retirement from JNU. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem."
Additional DCP (East) DK Gupta said, "Prima facie, it seems to be a
case of loot. The key suspect in the case are deceased's tenant and
his associate, who are absconding from the scene after the incident.
Both are natives of Uttar Pradesh. Teams have been formed and
investigation is on to nab the culprits."
The couple stayed in house number 137, Janta flat of Vivek Vihar while
their tenant stayed on the first floor. They had been living there
since July 17 this year. The tenants were introduced to the couple by
Sushma, a neighbour of the deceased.
The deceased had three daughters identified as Hema (19), Leena (20)
and Neena (22). All three are blind and married. "On Tuesday morning,
I made a call to my parents. Despite several attempts when no answer
was received, I made a call to Satya Devi, a neighbour of my parents.
I told her to convey my message to my parents. When Satya Devi reached
my parent's residence, she found their bodies and raised an alarm.
Police
was informed," said Hema.
One of the suspects identified as Ashwini, who works at a call centre
in Noida, was spotted by residents around 1 am smoking but was not
seen after that.
An amount of `50,000 and some jewellery was found missing from the
house, they said.
