First of all, my big big thanks for coming up with this solution, trust me,
I was going mad. In fact I was just thinking to call up FS technical
International Support Team.
But now I don't know why, I am facing new problem. If I am clicking on any
footnote link, it is taking me to far on some other pages. Linking has no
problem because when I did the same thing in morning, it was fine. But now
its not so. Restarted the pc and the Adobe reader both.

I agree that some writers have the tendency to insert too many
footnotes which indeed can divert your attention. But this is in a way
similar to a web page containing too many links on certain subjects
and if you keep clicking on those links, you will never finish reading
the original article. So it is based on how much you really want to
know about a particular footnote. Sometimes they may have basic info
that you already know of. But if you are reading some constitutional
laws or acts which constently get amended, you may wish to have the up
to date info and in that sense refering to footnotes makes sense. so
it's situational and up to you. Now coming to the technical issue,
when you click a footnote link on a PDF file or a web page, it takes
you to the end where the info is available. Two things you can try
out. If it is a PDF file, then press ault+left aero to see if you are
brought back to the original page. If you are reading a web page
containing footnotes, then click that footnote in a new browser
windows whereby the original window remains intact and you can easily
return to it by closing the newly opened windows. I actually feel
comfortable navigating around texts and footnotes on a web page rather
than a word document since the later particularly with 2007 and 2010
make life a bit difficult.

And, how do you come to the place where you were previously? in this

If I read the text and then if I go on to read so many footnotes I am
getting completely lost.
Further, is word document better when you have to read text with footnotes
in terms of easier reading? Because I can get the same act in word/rtf
format.
I am looking for a feature where I can listen to the text as well as the
text of the footnote there itself. So that the continuity of understanding
things remains and you don’t feel lost.
I googled also, but didn’t find any good answer.
Last but not least, the example used above was only to make things clear.
