Hi Shyam There would only be internet usage charges.You can search for addresses. However, we don't have a uniform proper system of identifying houseslike 112 MG Road etc. Otherwise it would work.
Frankly I am amazed with such a huge database required for it, I am at witts end how it manages to search for any place on the globe. Without any internet support it manages this marvel with amazing speed. For walk guidance you will have to download it from the net one time.
