That is the weirdest explanation I have ever heard. Airlines are generally reluctant to allow guide dogs and other animals in the passenger cabins. I haven't travelled in either of these airlines internationally but didn't encounter any problems with their domestic services. I thought we were making some progress with Jet at least as I have seen them introduce safety cards in Braille on their flights.
