hello to all,
this is the mail regarding the procedures to be followed for obtaining
the insurance policy under postal life insurance scheme. i have
applied for the said policy four months back and yet this policy is
not issued to me.

i have applied for this policy through the field officer of postal
life insurance working in nearest post office of my location. as per
his opinion, this proposal has been already submited to regional
office of my state and same is further forwarded to actuary of postal
life insurance situated at calcotta. this proposal has been returned
by this office with the remarks of "this proposal may be put up before
head office of postal department, govt. of india situated at janak
puri, new delhi for necessary action and review. complying to this
remarks, my proposal has been forwarded to head office as mentioned
above. this is the oral status provided by my agent.

in this regard, i would like to know about the procedures that are
involved in issuing the said policy. i would also like to know that
how much time is treated as reasonable period for issuing this policy
for visually handicapped persons? is four months of time reasonable
for issuance of this policy? if not, what action can be taken at my
end to know the exact status of my proposal?

along with my proposal i have already submited the notification
issued by the ministry of communications and information technology
dated 4th jan, 2010 wich states that insurance for physically
handicapped persons shall be made equal with
maximum limit prescribed under Rule 3 of POIF Rules and revised from
time to time.

your kind cooperation in this regard would be highly obliged.
