hello,
please find the text of the said notification given below. i can't
retrieve the URL for the same at this time as i do not remember but
you can google it around as i did by surfing the key terms like
provisions for VI persons for postal life insurance.

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 4th January, 2010

No. 45-7/CC/09-LL.-The President of India hereby directs that the
maximum limit of insurance for physically handicapped persons shall be
made equal with
maximum limit prescribed under Rule 3 of POIF Rules and revised from
time to time.

Consequently, POIF Rules shall be amended as follows :

“Rule 14(3) (e) (ix) Maximum limit of insurance for physically
handicapped shall be Rs. 1,00,000 (Rupees one lakh) of sum assured
under special scheme for
physically handicapped” shall be substituted by “Rule 14(3) (e) (ix)
Maximum limit prescribed under Rule 3 of POIF Rules shall be
applicable to physically
handicapped”.
