Hi!

After following all replys, I could not help myself to drop one of mmy
replys as well.

First of all, Mr. Jignesh:
"The handset is also equipped with an SOS button, which allows the user
to save four emergency numbers. By pressing the SOS button, the call
gets automatically
directed to the first emergency number."

So sir, this indicates that those 4 numbers are stored as emergency
numbers and doesn't imply that we can actually save 4 numbers in the
phonebook.

Secondly, I'm not even sure that it does support basic GPRS browsing,
so forget about 3G support, which is not much of an issue if this
device does the basic functions like reading messages, contacts etc,
it's a good phone at this price, that too a dual sim one.

Then, someone mentioned about full voice support which is possible at
present in only 5 operating systems: IPhone OS, android, symbion,
windows mobile (except windows phone 7 at present) & Black berry OS.
All these operating systems are resource hungry and will need decent
hardware to run on, which will escalate the price. So, I don't think
that this device's voice support can match to those offered by Talks &
Mobilespeaks, but I'll be happy if this device can read my messages &
phonebook with decent voice synthesizer, which I think is demanding
too much out of this device.

And, in the news article, I didn't find anything to suggest that Intex
associated with NAB for anything to do with this device and that it
took some suggestions regarding the same, but, if they have done so,
then I believe this device will not be that big a disappointment as is
the general feeling right now, as we have smart people sitting up
there in NAB which is an association representing us and they can
advice soundly regarding the technical requirement for a VI mobile
user.

Lastly, I always felt these telecomm. companies always lacked
somewhere or the other while offering accessibility solutions. Look at
Nokia, it has an in-built screenreader, but it's PC suite is half
inaccessible, talk about TATA, they say that their website is
"accessible to the differently abled", in effect, recognizing the
needs of a VI, but their softwares supplied along their data cards are
inaccessible. For this, I feel asking to employ VI specifically for
testing the accessibility will be too much, but atleast they can
include independant organizations workinng in this field for this
purpose, which is a practical solution.
