I and my sister have a pan card with thumb impression. while filing an
application, we attested our thumb by a gazitted officer and we submited our
blindness certificate along pan application.

Hello Friends,
One of my friend is facing a very serious problem in submitting his new
PAN application form due to thumb impression. The officer has rejected his
PAN application form saying that the thumb impression is not valid on a
PAN Card application, so that the form will not be considered as per the
income tax act.
What can be done if a VH person cannot provide a signature on his PAN
Card?
Is it true whether a visually impaired person requires to put his
signature on PAN card application? Is there any circular available for the
same to tackle this situation?
