Reset the Phone's original settings through the Factory Settings option? Or are you referring to some other way of device reset? As far as the factory setting is concerned, I have tried it already. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vikas Kapoor" <[email protected]>

As far as I know, this task cannot be achieved without resetting your
device. I also faced a similar kind of problem but once I reset my device, I
did not confront this kind of an issue.

Hello,

The free space in my C5 phone memory is gradually decreasing. I have
hardly
instaled any extra aps. Contacts, Calendar etc. take a few KBs and nor do
I
have any sound, image or video files. #While checking the memory details,
I
see that MIDP Apps, Sis Applications and what it calls the "Other Files"
have taken most of the space. Now I am curious to know the following:

1. What are MIDP Apps? how to Access them? Can any of them be deleted
without harming the phone or effecting its performance?
2. What could be the "Other Files"? I have checked all the folders and
found
a few that hardly cross 1 MB. Where could be these files that have taken
as
many as 21 MBs? Are there hidden or temporary files that can be cleaned?
3. I am not very keen to go for some third party apps, but if there is
something really reliable, please suggest.
4. What is the possibility of viruses in Symbian phones? I have heard that
they are not that much prone to viruses. Are they? I do browse regularly
and
keep on clearing all private data through Web>Options. I can manage to
increase 1 or 2 MBs, but not more than that.
5. Any other information that can be helpful.

Thanks and Regards.
