Hi frnd! As per new guideline "Gazette Notification reg.: "UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education 2010" announced by UGC it is essential requirement to clear the NET exam as minimum criteria to become eligible for any post of lecturer in central university, it is immaterial weather you are having M.Phil or not, however your M.Phil surely will qualify you to enjoy upper hand in comparison to those who are not having it. Only one is exempted from condition of NET if he/she has completed P.hd, otherwise there is no circumvent leeway for any candidate to get through assistant professor with out NET. Cheers!
