hello Vamsi kotian and others,
in andhra pradesh, we have to write the departmental exams with books. in
order to write these exams, we have to go to the exam hall with atleast
fifteen books which are neither in braille nor accessable farmate. apart
from that we have write these exams with the help of sub standed scribes who
are to perform three actions viz to read the question paper, to search for
the answer with our direction and to edit the matter.
in these circumstances, we approached the government and requested to make
arangements for printing the necessary text books in braille.
after the careful examination of the matter, the government issued a G.O
exempting the blind from passing the departmental tests for the period of
five years. the government stated in the same G.O that it would make the
text books in braille and accessable farmate with in five years. do you
think that availling the provisions of the said go is nothing but inability
of the blind of our state? do you oppose the reservation policy for the
blind in promotions?
each and every one of us has to develop a tendency of agree to disagree.

The problem is the same in all the exams. We can't ask for exemptions
from exams on the ground that accessible reading material is not
available. Instead we should fight for provision of the same in
accessible format.
I totally endorse Harish sir's views. Exemption for visually
challenged from writing the exams is a very unhealthy practice.

Regarding the comment that u have posted, I contradict that view.
Because promotion for departmental in government sector has a
practical aspect attached.
As it is demonic in nature it’s very difficult for us to have material
in accessible format.
So we must demand an exemption or any support test instead of it.
Its not say we are insufficient are inferior.
There are certain things which are not in our control.
So we must seriously think once before commenting.
