jaws 10 and 11 also supports office 2007. the concerned is about accessing menus of office 2007 as office 2003. you can access it by pressing key combination of office 2003, but, jaws won't support. if you follow office 2007 ribben with its own keyboard commands, jaws will support it.

The best way to deal with is to use Jaws 12. Previous versions of Jaws
do not quite support MS Office 2007 and later. In Jaws 12, there is
the Virtual ribbon. Ones you enable the same, you should be able to
access the options of each menu by pressing the down arrow key.
If you don't hve Jaws 12, then its better to revert to Office 2003, as
working with office 07 and earlier versions of Jaws is somewhat
dificult unless you don't know most of the keybord commands.
best,

Hello to all,

I don't know whether this tool has been discussed in this conversation.

Well there is a freeware tool to use all the menus and the toolbars in
office 2007 and in office 2010.

please find the complete information about that tool below...

Hi,
My real problem is that, in word 2003, the menus could be focused
either by their commands such as alt+i for insert menu or alt+a for
table menu etc., or by pressing the rlight or left arrow after
focusing to the file menu. But now, neither the menus could be
focused through their commands nor they could be focused by pressing
the right arrow after focusing the file menu.
Hope now my doubt is clear.
Renuka.

no problem, you have to remember the key sequence of office 2003 and
apply
it on word 2007. however jaws will not support accurately while typing
the
key sequence. e.g. you would like to go to autocorrect options, just
type
alt+t then a to open autocorrect dialog. for normal layout view you can
type
alt+v followed by d, jaws will say draft layout. you can also access all menus with the key sequence of word 2003. like to insert a table you can
type alt+a-i-t, you will land on table dialog box.
remember all the key sequence of word 2003 and enjoy word 2007.

hope this will help.

bhawani.
