Indeed a very fruitful discussion is going on regarding the different aspects of mobility. The problems faced by the blind in developed countries are quite different from those faced in India. The science of using white cane may be saying any thing, but every blind user has his own technique of using it, and what suits one person may not suit another person. further, even the chois of the type of cane also varies from person to person.
