Hello Topio
Firstly, whenever there is moderator in the subject line, you should tae
care to edit the subject line, in case there is a need to seek clarification
, as in this case.

Now, let me clarrify with an illustration. Suppose, If say Ram makes a
request for a book, Sham responds on the list, he has the material and he
would making it available to Ram.

Now, if Gita is putting on the list requesting Sham to send a copy to her as
well. This request of Gita on the list is not fair and amounts to private
mail.

She should send a direct private mail to Sham as she is now having the
source where the resource is available.

I hope it is clear now.

but let me ask you, is there any non compliance with the terms of
access india if some urgent files are requested?
for instance, i requested the ncert english medium text book of social
science text book of standard nine and ten, for which i got the reply
and those text books were sent to me by a person.
so, please clarify this question.

Dear All

I extend hearty season's greetings on behalf of the entire AccessIndia
family. This is just another reminder not to post season's greetings
messages on the list.

Again, I see a lot of essentially personal messages such as request for a
particular file to them as well. When you have information about the
person
having such a resource, it does not make any sense putting the request on
the list and cluttering traffic which is a junk traffic as far as the
list
is concerned.

There are some subjects like the present thread on using escorts. There
is
no clear cut answers and one can go on for ages arguing either ways. It
is
prudent just to make your stand across and there is no need to keep on
defending your stated position. In addition, if someone has already put
forth a point, there is no need to reiterate it. We are not running an
popularity poll. We certainly desire to have all shades of opinion on the
table. Let us trust the wisdom of Our members to take informed judgement
from the information expressed here.

Finally, quickly, a no to thank you messages, response to welcome mails,
piracy and misusing the platform to discredit any person or organisation.
