To the sighted blindness is what they feel, when they close their eyes or when there is absence of light. So any depiction of blindness in any form will create in them fear, sympathy or any other emotion which they usually associate with blindness. It is the basic root cause behind all false representations that we see about the blind. Even the term blind is having a pejorative meaning. we usually use it in negative contexts only. people started using this to describe the visually challenged probably on account of this dark light binary. this is what i have understood from my analysis. regards
