Hi,

If you are using JAWS 13, then follow these steps:
1. Make shore that the image is of text only.
2. Open your image file.
3. Place your curser exactly on the starting point of the image.
4. Hit INSERT+SPACEBAR followed by O key to load OCR component. You
will hear JAWS speaking OCR.
5. Now if you want to scan the full image, press S key. To scan the
current window of the image, press W key. Or, if you want to scan
current control like any button of the image, press C key.

Note: all these S, W and C keys will work when the OCR component is
loaded. If you are using JAWS 13 but have not installed OCR component,
then you can download the component from Freedom Scientific website.
After installing the component, restart your windows and then try the
above procedure.

This method can be used on any file which contains only textual information.
