OK, your hardware configuration is sufficient. the resolution is also ideal.
but let me know one thing, how do you edit the text after converting with
fine reader? because, with fine reader, we can get either of RTF, PDF or TXT
outputs as per my knowledge. if you get it in RTF or TXT, you will be having
the text but not the images. in that case, you have to look into the
original printed material for correction. if you get it in PDF, you get the
images but not the text and you can not read and edit it. that is why I
prefer Kurzweil for scanning purposes. also send the scanned book without
correction. but remember you have to send it privately off the list or
through dropbox or sendspace as the attachments are not allowed in the list.
