but I think 300 dpi resolution is enough for most of the books scanned.

there is slight difference in quality of PDF document generated from
automatic scanner as compared to manual scanner.
sharing my experience, ledgers/tables of accounts are more clear and
well arranged in case of automatic scanning. it takes very less time
as well to scan.
the negative points are that the binding of book get opened and book
is turned into single sheets and is very expensive to buy. its not
much benefitial in case of theory books.
in case of manual scanning, with resolution, it also depends on the
quality of scanner as well. most scanners that we have at home doesnt
give that much good output.

1. you can try automatic scanning as it gives around 90% accuracy and
speedy as well. you can get it done from any organisation nearby your
place having this machine.
2. portable magnifiers like versa proves very benefitial for low
vision people when there is immediate requirement of checking /
reading document.
3. there is another device by the name zoom x where the book is placed
below a camera connected with the desktop / laptop and within few
seconds after a click, it starts reading the page.

I have completed LL.B with utmost difficulty. now, my problem is with
regard to scanning all the law books. I am doing the scanning work on
my own. but, while coming to point of editing, I am having many

1. is there any way to get error free text after scanning and
converting it into text.
2. is there any efficient way of proof reading?
3. is there any other way to get books other than scanning?
I dont know Brail. so, please give suggestions other than getting
books in brail format.
