The basic models with knobs work just fine unless one is planning on doing
more than warming or thawing food. I have worked with one such model by
Godrej and it worked just fine. With a little practice and marking the knob,
if needed, one can operate this kind without any sighted help.

Recently I have purchased a micro wave, make of Electrolux. It has knobs
instead of touch buttons. With little practice, it can be operated without
any sited help. This is a basic model, as per my requirement, after a long
search I selected this one. I will use very soon. Hopefully will be done
successfully.
With regards

Subject: [AI] Required guidance in buying an accessible microwave oven.

Hi Friends,

I want to buy a microwave oven witch is accessible for the visually
impaired.
I heard Prashant sir's demo on the talking microwave.
but I am not sure if it is available in India.
Also these days many microwaves have touch buttons which we can not feel it,

and so are difficult to use.
Also I am not sure how expensive it would be to import a talking microwave
from the U.S. or any other country.
Please suggest accessible microwaves which I can buy.
It may not be necessarily a talking microwave, but even if we can feel the
buttons and remember the menu options and use it, then it would be fine.
Please provide your valuable inputs on the same.

Thanks and Regards.

Dinesh Thole.
