there are a number of softwares by class called screen capture programs. if
you google it, you can get lots of them.

do the following steps:-
get the desired screen on your desktop.
press printscreen key. the screenshot will be copied to clipboard as an
image.
if you want to embed the screenshot, go to the body of your e-mail editor
and press ctrl + V. the image will be pasted if the program supports such
embedding.
if you want to send it as attachment, open Microsoft office document
imaging
found in the ms office tools submenu of programs submenu.
select edit paste or press Ctrl + V and the content will be pasted to
image.
save the document. note: it will be saved only in tif format in this
program. if you want a different format, you can use image converters.
