SnagIt from TechSmith is a good screen capture application. It supports capturing a region, full screen, scrolling window (useful for long web pages), etc. I have used scrolling window captures, its very easy. Navigate to the location which you need to capture screenshot of. Launch SnagIt. Select the desired capture type and activate the Capture button. Capturing a region may be difficult, I haven't tried it yet.
