Hi Mohit,

I am a girl with total vision loss. Sometimes I pour food for myself. I keep
either my plate or my bowl close to the vessel containing food in order to
avoid wastage of food and ensure that it goes in the plate or bowl only. I do
not overfill the serving spoon with food while pouring it in my plate or bowl.
I check the overfilling of the serving spoon with food by its weight. If the
serving spoon is neither light nor heavy it means that I have filled the food
in it at optimum level. For liquid food stuffs like pulses, I touch my bowl to
the edge of vessel containing pulses and then pour it in my bowl. To check the
quantity of food, I touch the food in my plate with my fingers.

With best regards,
Binni Kumari

Subject: [AI] Pouring food

Hi all,

Do you always pour food for yourself, or do you ask someone to do it for you?
If you do it yourself, how do you manage to do it effectively?
Do you use any technique or method for doing it?

Regards,
Mohit
