hello, this type of problem is even faced by me and its not now since years. even i type the codes instead of station names it doesn't fulfill the purpose. it still says the destination station can not be left blank or source station can not be left blank. only difference is that i do not face the said problem with seat availability and finding the problem under the link train between stations. so what i do is if the destination and source station is amongst major railway stations as per the list provided on their site i click on the link trains between the important stations and then i choose the station of destination and source from the combo box.
if you still can not find the desired stations and wish to enter the destination and origin then you may click on the link wich says something like train birth availability. hope this helps you. thanks, mukesh.
