Hi,
Jaws 13 does not have any problems with office 2003. One way out is to
reinstall jaws 13 and office 2003 or the second way is to uninstall j
11 and then use j 12 it is very much compatible with mozilla firefox
as well. I would say to uninstall both the virsions of jaws in your pc
and then use jaws 12. Specially if you don't use the OCR functionality
of j 13.
regards

Hi friends the problem due to which I was asking for some newer
version of microsoft word is a unique one before me till now. Actually
when jaws 13 is running in that condition if I open MS word then
nothing comes out, it mean MS word never starts and remains
unresponsive. This condition is with the blank as well as already
saved document. All I have to do for working on MS word that I have to
unload jaws 13 and then start NVDA then I can run MS word smoothly,
but the problem is that I am not aware much about NVDA nore I like it
because of well acquitance with jaws.
However friends I have installed jaws 11 simultaneously on my machine,
but jaws 11 is not compatible with mozilla fire fox, therefore all
what i have to do that when ever I want to use MS word 2003 then I
have to start jaws 11 otherwise I do work with jaws 13. So I am
thinking that this problem may be resolved if I use MS word higher
version.
I hope you understood my problem, one more thing, this problem is not
with my windows 7, 32 bit ultimate version nore due to any virus
because recently I have formatted my system and re installed the
windows.

Before you switch to advanced verbosity, let me warn you that you might
find
it bit uncomfortable to use Jaws if you are new to Jaws and windows
environment. For example, while Jaws is in advanced verbosity, if you
press
PC cursor, Jaws will just say "PC" instead of "PC cursor".
There are two ways of switching the verbosity settings. As I'm little
lazy
now, I will just explain how to do this using the quick settings dialog
using my very own "screen illustration" method although this whole thing
is
documented somewhere in Jaws help step - by - step.
Why some folks don't explore the help documentation just beats me, but
here
is my screen illustration after pressing insert + v to open the quick
settings dialog in word.
The screen illustration makes more sense with eloquence synthesiser active
and if read through using the insert downarrow key.

<ScreenIllustration>

Insert V. Quick settings - word diolog, search box edit. U. s. e. r. ‵vb59
User verbosity. ‵vb62 1 of 1 search results. ‵vb65 Downarrow. 1 search
result list box, user verbosity beginner. Space, space. Advanced. ‵vb59 3
of 3. ‵vb65 shift tab, shift tab. Ok button. Enter.

</screenIllustration>

Hope this helps

Try to switch to advanced verbosity. This may make Jaws respond faster

What problem are you facing while using Office 2003 & Jaws 13? I am
having
a problem in MS word with Jaws 13.0.718. When navigating through word
documents using arrow keys, response of Jaws is too slow. Same happens in Word 2007. Now I have updated to Jaws 13.0.924 & feel it is more smoother but not fully. Another one, this problem only in Windows 7 & not with XP
machine.
