Hi

If a sighted person can see the scenes that are sexually explicit or morally
depriving then we have a right to hear the description of it. I agree on
your point. Having said so, I also feel we must acknowledge that the people
involved in describing the video are humans themselves, and they may not be
so comfortable because of their personal values and their views on morality
and chastity etc. I'm not trying to say that those who describe such scenes
are immoral in any way since these things are personal and unique viewed
differently by different people. Therefore while we have right to listen to
the movies or videos completely uncensored, we must also recognise and
respect the rights of people and our stress on equality should not result in
forcing unwilling participents describe the things they do not want to.
I feel equality should be instigated on the both the sides - from those
people involved in production and those involved in hearing the
descriptions. Therefore I propose the below that might serve as solutions:
1) Obtain the consent of the people involved in producing video
descriptions. Ask them if they're ok to narrate any content they see on the
screen without any hesitation.
2) Deploy a high-quality voice synthesiser where appropriate.

Thanks
Syed

Subject: Re: [AI] Audio Description for the Movie Barfi

Hi all.

While making a audio we should have a professional approach.
If a sighted person can see a kissing seen then y we can't?
This is the matter of equality.

I support that each & every seen should b converted in2 audio, so that
a blind person should also b acquainted of all the beauty & bad of any
movie.

If kissing is bad then it should b banned on screen, y a blind person
should b unaware of those.
