My favorite - and quite self-explanatory - is FS Reader from Freedom
Scientific. Originally a commercial product, it now comes free bundled
with jaws. You can download and install the jaws demo and it will stay
behind even when you uninstal jaws.
Amos is another free and open source choice.

I have a column in excel database namely 'email'. Some of the teachers
don't have a email id so I want to type dash instead of leaving the cell
blank.
But excel didn't accept the dash sign in cell. Any solution to type
