Mitra Jyothi's Computer Department introduces 30 day Microsoft Excel
workshop for persons with Visual Impairment who are studying or working. We
have designed various workshops keeping in mind the growing demand from
professionals and students who are visually impaired.
Goals of the Course: Main goal of this course is to increase the candidate's
computer knowledge on Microsoft Excel and making them independent and
efficient in handling excel. Now a days Microsoft Excel is widely used by
all organizations for wide variety of jobs, and this makes it really
important to learn excel in detail. This will increase the employment
opportunities in various sectors, betterment of existing job, and for higher
studies.
Duration of this Training is 30 Days.

Who are eligible?
Any visually impaired person, who's educational qualification should be 10+2
pass and above.
Knowledge of Basics of Computers using JAWS screen readers.
Any person who is willing to learn MS Excel in advanced level for their
education/ employment,
Knowledge of English, communication skills.
Joining Procedure:
1. Candidates have to attend the evaluation test before the training starts.
Note: Candidates will be considered as eligible only if they pass the
evaluation tests.
Once they pass the evaluation test:
1. Candidates have to register in Mitra Jyothi for Short term computer
course.
2. The registration fee for the course is Rs. 200.
Dormitory Accommodation with food will be provided at Mitra Jyothi.
Charges for 1 month - Rs. 1000.

About Mitra Jyothi
Mitra Jyothi is a registered Charitable Trust formed in 1990. This trust is
working for visually impaired and other disabled people in their Education,
Training and Employment. At present our activities are as follows:
1. Talking Book Library to provide educational and general books on audio
cassettes and CD to the students with visual impairment
2. Basic and Advanced Computer training to the students with visual
impairment.
3. Braille transcription centre to provide Braille books and Braille tools
to the needy students with visual impairment
4. Independent living skill training to the rural women with visual
impairment.
5. Job placement service to persons with disabilities.
6. Community radio Training in which students are given radio jockey
training, production, post production & broadcasting training.
