Dear all,
Of course it is inhuman and disgusting the way things are working.
But I am happy that a labourer has had the sense and guts to report
the case of child sex abuse to the police.
Rape is not the only form of sex abuse that a child can go through.
Statistics say that 51% of children- both male and female- in India
face abuse; while 80 to 90% of disabled children face one form of
sexual abuse or the other.
It is often noticed that parents and caregivers – irrespective of
their education and other background- shy away from talking to their
children about child sex abuse and safety.
The mildest form of abuse – like forced touching or stroking- can
leave the deepest impact on the child and his/her entire life.
So let us all be better parents / guardians/ teachers/ society
