Well said Amar,
I totally agree with you.
When Chetan used to send useful information on the list, then he was very good and intelligent person, and when unknowingly, an offensive mail was sent by his e-mail ID, then he should be remove from this list, why?
Why can't we give him a chance considering all his previous mails?
And that too chance for the mistake that he has not committed.

Regards!

Subject: [AI] Respect morale; delete indecent content while replying; security tip to prevent account hacking; thanks: Re: My email was hacked, apology.

Since there are so many emails on this topic with various subjects, I
just picked up this one for replying. Sorry for long subject though.

Guys, what is wrong with all of us? I am seriously disgusted to read
the replies from people saying that it was intentional and planned
email from a person like Chetan sir even after knowing that the email
account was hacked? How can people really forget the repute and
respect which a person gets with so many efforts, due to a mistake,
the fault of which cannot be even attributed to him?

Even if some of the members don't know the particular person, in that
case also we must not conclude so irresponsibly. Doubting someone's
morale is something very serious, and it should not be done with the
ease which some of the intellectual members have shown in this
incident. Imagine happening this with yourself, and try to understand
the feeling which the person must be going through. What if this
incident would have happened with someone who is regularly writing to
list? Would you draw such a conclusion even then? Use logic at
appropriate times, otherwise it can lead to undesirable consequences!

Another blunder which people have done is that though they understand
that the particular email was bad and indecent, yet, the discussion
has been continued with same subject, and some have even not deleted
that original message while replying. Don't forget, that the list
consists of all members belonging to different age groups and
different genders. Therefore, a healthy practice is to delete such an
email which does not conform with the list, and respond to it keeping
the subject same (if it is not of indecent nature), or else change the
subject too.

A security tip: turn on two way verification in Gmail to avoid such
kind of hacking.

I sincerely thank Kartik, Prateek, Sunil, and a few others who dealt
with the situation so nicely. Well done guys!
