Braille labels on seats/births are useful to many people. all are not good in counting, and even you are good at it, you cannot do it always as you may not be knowing the starting numbered seat. additionally, the number may be different if you get in through front, middle, or back door. in case of second class sitting, moving inside itself is very difficult. the labels should also be put on reserved seats for physically challenged. Braille labels for coach numbers is a useless idea. most of the mail and express trains are overcrowded. as soon as the train stops, people rush towards doors to board the train. there are also unboarding passengers. will they patiently allow you to read the label? if the door is open, its outward face will not be facing you and will be inside the coach. can you stretch your hand so far? if you put them on the side walls of the coaches, can you move along the coach finding where it is? even if you put it near the door, the boarding people push you so carelessly. what if the gap between platform and train is large? what about stations without platforms? interestingly, I saw a station named Holalkere in Karnataka 2 months ago. it has 2 platforms. but you cannot use them for boarding and unboarding because both are about 10 feet away from the adjacent tracks. you can use them to just to see trains. moreover, except source stations, can you wander along the train searching your coach where the train stops only 2 minutes? all these put the life of visually impaired. the facilities given by Harish are important and worth implementing instead.

Moreover, how will we find those stickers? I don't fancy feeling along the
wall in a train.
