Changing the subject line to "Relevance of Accessindia Mobile Mailing list".

The idea of creating and maintaining a separate sister mailing list for
mobile phones and tablets only to control the traffic of emails on
accessindia in my humble opinion is not a healthy choice simply because
mobile phones, smart watches, tablets, netbooks, TV boxes, media players,
gaming devices, Laptops, all in ones, desktops, servers and a whole lot of
gadgets , whether outgoing or upcoming have a lot in common in terms of
their usage and operations. Hence whatever discussions go on in either of
the mailing lists are quite overlapping and are related to one and another.
This pretty much confuses people whether to post on accessindia mailing list
or accessindia mobile mailing list. So I think even though the earlier way
was not the best way, it was somehow okayish.
It is quite natural to find our mailboxes flooded with innumerable posts,
appointments, requests and emails and it is going to increase in future so
the wisest thing is to apply rules and filters to your mailboxes and
strictly refrain from sending unwanted and inappropriate emails rather than
complaining about the traffic from any mailing list for that matter.

I agree. It must be said that traffic on Access India hasn't reduced
significantly since the mobile list was created, if that was the reasoning
behind the new list. Also, many people who could have benefitted from the
discussion on mobiles here, as well as people who could have contributed to
the discussion have refrained from joining the list as following two lists
is more cumbersome than following one high-traffic list.

Just my two cents...
Geetha

Dear Moderator
I still think that the bifurcation of the list is wrong, artificial and
pointless.
Many people agree with me but wont voice their concerns because it will hurt
your feelings.
I hope better sens prevails and we stop dividing when we know that
technology between mobiles and computers are merging and dynamic.
I know that many people have been forced to join the other list because they
want the information. On taking a poll of the users of the second list you
will find that they rather have been only part of the original accessindia.
You may justify your actions on the grounds of practicality but even that
arguement fails if taken to its logical conclusion.
You are the moderator so I will not argue further.
Egroups can be made every day and many people do make egroups. Moderators
give direction but it is the faith of the individual members in their fellow
members, the substance of the discussion and the broadness of opinion that
makes an egroup grow and be of use.
I hope you will rethink your decision.

Dear friends,
Please help me in choosing an android mobile phone. I don't want to
compromise with accessibility, while my budget is around 10000.
Which phone I should buy?
Will it be accessible like nokia?
Please help me earliest.
Thanks in advance.
