Hi Ekinath,

I briefly did some snorkelling in the Andaman and Nicobar islands some years
ago. This was during a trip organised by the firm I was working for back
then. I was actively encouraged to go snorkelling with the rest of my
colleagues, and there was no resistance from the guide due to my blindness.

>From what I recollect, we were given lifejackets and we had to get into a
large tube and literally walk in the sea. Since I couldn't see where I was
going in the water, I had a guide who snorkelled right next to me and
directed me. Apart from the fact that it was intimidating being in the sea,
I honestly don't remember much about that experience. It was however good
fun, although I couldn't see the pearls or the coral reef at the bottom of
the sea.

It might be worth getting in touch with the place you plan to go snorkelling
in Thailand well in advance, and ask them whether they could provide you a
guide who could come with you into the sea.

Subject: [AI] Fwd: Anybody done snorkelling?

Hi

I am a bit surprised on no replies. But not too much as it's not regarding
technologies.

Basically, snorkelling is an under-water walk soughts in the sea.

It's a popular water sport specially around coral reeves.
Do guide me to any VI mailing post meant for sports.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

Has anybody of you done snorkelling?

I am going to bankok in June and wish to know if there also I might have to
face "no" due to blindness?

I have long drempt of snorkelling and bungee jumping.

Therefore, on your guidance may go to place where do not have issues with
it.

Cheers
