Hai Kartik, It is good to know that Taj is willing to provide job opportunities for the vision impaired people in their hotels. However, it needs to be checked with them about the platform on which their software has been developed so as to determine whether a solution for accessibility is possible.
Recalling my posting on the list long time ago about the same issue of accessibility with the internal software used at ITC group of hotels, I feel that it may be more or less the same issue. Based on my knowledge and experience, I can tell you that most of the organisations in the hospitality sector use their own software and CRM applications where all the customer information is stored and shared internally and these mostly present greater accessibility challenges for vision impaired persons. In my opinion, we need to find other alternative means of performing the same tasks carried out by other employees. At the same time, the organization' should also be flexible enough to make the required modifications.
