Don't know how controversial my point would be. But I can't resist
putting it across. We often see articles by researchers describing
how disabled are perceived as asexual. On the other hand, we often
see disabled women being sexually exploited either by force or
otherwise. if disabled are perceived asexual, how are they becoming
victims of such attacks? And when they are being exploited , just
like any other women, how can one say that they are perceived
asexual?

However, my point is not to shift the focus in the current case to
academics. This is another case of extreme brutalness. Considering
the helplessness of the victim in resisting the attack, her inability
to call for rescue, the trauma she would be undergoing, etc., etc.,
the accused should be given a sentence nothing less than that given in
case of Nirbaya, if proven to be truth.
