When inside the live mail window, folllow these steps:
On the tree view, use Down Arrow until you find Add an email account button
and press Spacebar on it.
Here you will find edit fields for email address, password and display name.
Fill all these edit boxes. Do not uncheck the Remember password checkbox.
Among these, do not check the checkbox Manually configure server settings
for e-mail account, if you have a hotmail or live email id. It will be
configured all by itself when you activate the Next Button.
If you want to use your gmail id, leave this checkbox unchecked and activate
the Next button.
The first control in the next stage is a combo box for My incoming server.
Pop3 is the default selection and leave it so.
The next control is an edit field for incoming server. Type pop.gmail.com in
this box.
The next control is another edit field for port. Change the default value
from 110 to 995.
The next control is a checkbox which says, This server requires a secure
connection (SSL). Check it. It also automatically changes the value in the
previous port to 995.
The next control is the edit field for your login id. the first part of your
email address (before the at sign) should be there already. Type your full
address here, such as, [email protected].
The next field is for outgoing server. type the value smtp.gmail.com in this
edit field.
Press Tab key twice. You will find The next control which is another
checkbox. It says, This server requires a secure connection (SSL). Check it.
Press Shift+Tab once for the field we skipped. This field is for another
port. Type 465 here. (25 is the default value.)
Press Tab twice and you will find another checkbox which says, My outgoing
server requires authentication. Check it also.
Move over to the Next button and activate it. It will immediately bring up
the Finish button. Press Enter on it and your gmail account will start
downloading mail.
