It is only in India that the signature issue is taken so seriously. I have opened about 4 different bank accounts in the UK and no one ever complains that my signature doesn't match. They even gave me a check book. I hardly write checks but if I ever do, the banks will call me to verify if the signature doesn't match. Even in Thailand, they weren't worried that the two signatures on travellers checks didn't match. When I asked the bank staff about my signatures not matching, the reply I got was on the lines of "it would be foolish to expect signatures of blind people to match". They verified my ID and they were perfectly happy with exchanging my travellers checks. I could never exchange travellers checks in India. It is unnecessary paranoia.

Subject: Re: [AI] signature issue Hi Digital technology is different in scope and usage to physical signature. Digital signature only ensures that the digital document is not tampered in transit or storage and is admissible in court of law. It cannot be made a substitute to physical signature. Subject: Re: [AI] signature issue Can't we do away with something like digital signature? I mean by any chance can it be incorporated in the check printing template designed by Prashant sir? According to me, if the template is designed in PDF then it could be done.
