Don’t use the cane myself. Tried many times but failed badly! My foot does
not fall straight, so I always go in the wrong direction. So I prefer to ask
for help loud and clear... and have managed well. Though, maybe I may find
greater freedom with a cane. Plan to try again! As far as impressions go, it
all depends upon what you think of yourself! How confedent you are and feel,
how much comfort you have found inside of you to accept the faults and
shortcomings you can't get rid of. Remember, blind or not, everyone has good
and not so good points. We just must try to improve what we can and accept
what we can't change and go on. For example, I can hardly change the color
of my skin or eyes for good!
I cant change my hight but I can change my weight and posture, can change
the way I cary myself and the way I dress and the way I behave and the way I
eat! So just a small advice, just keep trying to evaluate yourself and see
what all you would like to improve and work on those things and don’t worry
too much of the things that are stuck with you... like your disability! It
is what you are able to and do contribute to this world that matters and not
your disability or things like that!

Shadab Bhaiya,

You are raising precisely the point which I wanted people to come out
with. I simply can't understand, what is it that the cane has got to
do with impression?

I don't like to use it because its bulky, my hands pain, and I don't
like roaming on roads like this and figuring out whom to ask if I need
help putting my hands up or something of that sort.

I am very happy to take people's assistance for the overall purpose
than finding that someone in the middle wherever I need assistance.

I have seen both situations. I also have good and bad impression for
users of canes, as some users are extremely smart in carrying
themselves with cane, and people also have good and bad impressions of
users like me who never use cane as some think that I am completely
dependent and some think otherwise.

Have more to say?

Regards,
