You deserve kudos for sharing your humiliating experiences openly; thank you

I think we blind people also need greats like Omprakash Valmiki
(Jhutan) and Shivraj Singh Bechain (Mera Bachpan Mere Kandhon par);
who by writing their autobiographies have brought the issue of of
humiliation and discrimination faced by dalits in Indian society. I'm
sure many blind people have also gone through similar painful
experiences but documentation is scanty. Inspirational talks certainly
help, but painful personal experiences should also be equally shared
and written about. Afterall, movements and struggles find their
inspiration from such sufferings. And sadly writing, there is hardly
any autobiography exists which highlights the sufferings faced by
author. Those blind individuals who have managed to publish their
autobiographies have persuaded publishers on account of their efforts
to overcome their blindness and can simply be clubbed in the category
of inspirational books..
