in my case I didn't face such problems from my family members but by outsiders I too faced lot of problems after I became blind at the age of 16 years, first I faced was Karnataka road transport used to give free bus pass for blind persons whenever I used to travel with this pass conductor of that bus used to make me to sit at the last seat he also used to tell me that I am travelling without ticket so I have to sit at the last seat, it was horrible on long distance journey travelling in last seat, this happened to me many times in Karnataka, since then whenever I go to Karnataka to my Home town i mostly avoid travelling by KSRTC busses I prefer train this incident happened between 1994 to 1999, after that I settled in Delhi & here in busses they very well cooperate with blinds
