Subject: Re: [AI] help with UGC circular on permiting VI to use computersfor exams

Hi,

In view of the guidelines issued by Ministry of Social Justice and
Empowerment dated 26 February 2013, the earlier instructions issued by
UGC dated 6
January 2006 are not needed to take the permission.

You may visit the website of Office of Chief Commissionner For Persons
With Disabilities, in order to download the guidelines along with the
letter forwarded by UGC to all universities in this regard for
necessary compliance.

Please download the relevant stuff from: http://ccdisabilities.nic.in

In a practical scenario this is how it would work. You go with an
application to your University's Registrar or any other section which
deals with disability related matters, and ask for the entry of UGC's
forwarding letter in their register. Note down the serial number and
date of entry for easy reference.

When you possess the requisite information, approach the Chief
Controller of Examination with an application to use computer for all
your exams. It is advisable to mention the details noted from the
University's Registrar Office, so that the Controller can look into
the circular if required and even otherwise, it would be tough for
them to deny.

If any of the authorities do not respond in a positive manner, then
approach the Vice-Chancellor's Office for smooth hearing of your
request.

You may still download the UGC Circular from here:
http://prateekagarwal.webs.com/circulars.htm

You may call me during evening post 6.30 if you need any help. I am
contactable on: +91-9892622230.

Trust that addresses your query.

Regards,
